Circuit Description

Shifting is performed in combination with ON and OFF position of shift solenoids controlled by ECM. If an open or short circuit occurs in any shift solenoid, ECM reverts to fail-safe mode. See Figure. DTCs are output when a open or short circuit occurs. Possible cause:

• No. 1, No. 2 and/or No. 3 solenoid circuit.
• No. 1, No. 2 and/or No. 3 solenoid malfunction.
• ECM malfunction.
