Test No. 18: Transmission PWR Indicator Abnormal Operation Or Does Not Illuminate

  1. Disconnect instrument cluster harness connector "A". Place shift pattern select switch in PWR position. Measure voltage between ground and harness connector "A", terminal No. 7 (Blue/Red wire). See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If battery voltage is present, go to next step. If battery voltage is not present, repair pattern indicator signal circuit. See appropriate ELECTRONIC CONTROLS article in AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSIONS.
  2. Check bulb. If bulb is faulty, replace bulb. If bulb is okay, replace circuit plate and retest.
