Test No. 14: Odometer & Twin Trip Is Reset When Ignition Is Turned Off

  1. Check DOME fuse (10-amp). If fuse is okay, go to next step. If fuse is faulty, replace fuse and recheck. If fuse blows, disconnect instrument cluster harness connector "D" and replace fuse again. If fuse blows again, repair short in circuit between fuse and instrument cluster. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If fuse is okay, replace circuit plate and retest.
  2. Disconnect instrument cluster harness connector "D". Measure voltage at harness connector "D", terminal No. 11 (Red wire). See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If battery voltage is present, replace circuit plate and retest. If battery voltage is not present, repair Red wire between fuse and instrument cluster.
