Inspection (RX300)

Check "U" joints for smooth operation and no play. If play exists and/or operation is not smooth, replace drive shaft assembly. Using 2 "V" blocks and a dial indicator placed at middle of each drive shaft section, rotate drive shaft and measure runout. If runout is greater than .031" (.79 mm), replace drive shaft assembly. Using a dial indicator placed on flange face, check horizontal runout of all flanges. If runout exceeds .004" (.10 mm), replace flange(s).
