Test No. 8: Vehicle Speed Signal (4P) Faulty

Test drive vehicle and check odometer operation. If odometer is faulty, go to TEST NO. 13: ODOMETER & TWIN TRIP DISPLAY DOES NOT ALTER WHILE DRIVING . If odometer is okay, remove instrument cluster with connectors connected. Raise and support vehicle. Turn ignition on. Measure voltage (backprobe) between ground and harness connector "D", terminal No. 13 (Blue/Red wire). See WIRING DIAGRAMS . Voltage should vary between zero volts and 5 volts or greater while rotating driveshaft. If voltage is as specified, replace circuit plate and retest. If voltage is not as specified, repair Blue/Red wire between instrument cluster and ABS ECU.
