Test No. 2: One Indicator Needle Does Not Illuminate

  1. If LED is faulty, replace LED and retest. If LED is okay, disconnect instrument cluster harness connector "D". Check for continuity between ground and harness connector "D", terminal No. 23 (White/Black wire). See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If continuity is not present, repair open in White/Black wire between instrument cluster and ground. If continuity is present, go to next step.
  2. Turn ignition on. Measure voltage between harness connector "D", terminals No. 2 (Yellow wire) and No. 23 (White/Black wire). See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If battery voltage is present, replace circuit plate and retest. If battery voltage is not present, repair open in Yellow wire between instrument cluster and GAUGE fuse (10-amp).
