Test No. 16: Engine Oil Level Warning Light Does Not Illuminate

Disconnect instrument cluster harness connector "A". Turn ignition on. If engine oil level warning light illuminates after 40 seconds, check oil level warning switch. See OIL LEVEL WARNING SWITCH  under COMPONENT TESTS. Repair as necessary. If oil level warning switch is okay, repair Red/Black wire between instrument cluster and oil level warning switch. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If engine oil level warning light does not illuminate after 40 seconds, check oil level warning light. If bulb is faulty, replace bulb and retest. If bulb is okay, replace circuit plate and retest.
