Bulb Circuit

NOTE: Begin testing with step 2) if Lexus Hand-Held Tester (scan tool) is not available.
  1. Connect scan tool to Data Link Connector No. 3 (DLC3). Turn ignition on. Turn scan tool on and select ACTIVE TEST mode. Ensure all lights illuminate (except shift indicator lights) as commanded by scan tool. If all lights illuminate, go to next test listed in SYMPTOM DIAGNOSIS (INDICATORS & WARNING LIGHTS)  table under TROUBLE SHOOTING. If any lights do not illuminate, go to next step.
  2. Check continuity of appropriate bulb. Replace if necessary. If bulb is okay, go to next step.
  3. Check instrument cluster circuit plate. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER  under COMPONENT TESTS. Repair as necessary. If instrument cluster circuit plate is okay, check and repair instrument cluster circuit. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER CIRCUIT .
