Main Sending Unit

Remove main fuel gauge sending unit. See FUEL GAUGE SENDING UNIT  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Measure resistance between terminals No. 2 and 3 at main fuel gauge sending unit while moving float up and down. See Figure. Resistance should increase as float is lowered. See MAIN FUEL GAUGE SENDING UNIT RESISTANCE  table. Replace if necessary.
