Without Lexus Hand-Held Tester (Scan Tool)

  1. Diagnose igniter circuit using diagnostic test for DTC P1300: IGNITER CIRCUIT MALFUNCTION. See appropriate SELF-DIAGNOSTICS article in ENGINE PERFORMANCE. If system tests okay, replace instrument cluster. If system does not test okay, go to next step.
  2. Check harness and connectors between instrument cluster and ECM. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . Repair as necessary. If harness and connectors are okay, check igniter circuit using diagnostic test for DTC P1300: IGNITER CIRCUIT MALFUNCTION. See appropriate SELF-DIAGNOSTICS article in ENGINE PERFORMANCE.
