Fuel Gauge

  1. Connect Lexus Hand-Held Tester (scan tool) to DLC3 connector. Turn ignition on. Turn on scan tool and select ACTIVE TEST. If gauge tests properly go to next test listed in GAUGE TEST INDEX table. If gauge does not operate properly or scan tool is not available, go to next step.
  2. Check fuel gauge. See FUEL GAUGE  under COMPONENT TESTS. Check fuel gauge sending units. See FUEL GAUGE SENDING UNIT  under COMPONENT TESTS. Check instrument cluster circuit plate. See CIRCUIT PLATE  under PIN VOLTAGE TESTS. Check instrument cluster. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER CIRCUIT  under PIN VOLTAGE TESTS. Repair or replace as necessary.
