Gauge & Circuit

  1. Disconnect main fuel gauge sending unit harness connector. Turn ignition on and observe gauge needle. Gauge needle should move to EMPTY position. Turn ignition off. Reconnect main sending unit harness connector.
  2. Disconnect sub sending unit harness connector. Turn ignition on and observe gauge needle. Gauge needle should move to EMPTY position. Turn ignition off. Reconnect sub sending unit harness connector. See Fig 1 or Fig 2 . If gauge functions as specified, check fuel gauge sending units. If gauge does not function as specified, check fuel gauge resistance.
