Engine Coolant Temperature Sending Unit

Remove engine coolant temperature sending unit from lower radiator tank. With sending unit submerged in liquid, check for continuity between sending unit terminals. Continuity should exist when liquid temperature is less than 181°F (83°C). Continuity should not exist when liquid temperature is more than 199°F (93°C). Replace engine coolant temperature sending unit if continuity is not as specified.
