Wheel Bearing - Front Wheel Drive (G2296783): Installation

Assemble the special tools as shown.

Special Tool(s): JLR-204-819 , JLR-204-848

Install the special tools to the wheel knuckle.

Make sure the new wheel bearing is installed with the wheel speed sensor ring facing inward.

Use the special tools to install the wheel bearing.

Special Tool(s): 204-727A

General Equipment: Hydraulic press

Install the circlip with the gap towards the bottom the wheel knuckle.

Use the special tools to install the wheel hub.

Special Tool(s): 204-726 , JLR-204-846

General Equipment: Hydraulic press
- Use 2 of the nuts from special tool 205-857 and a suitable tool. Hold the wheel hub still and use the hub nut to install the stub axle.
  Torque : 175 Nm
- Remove and discard the original hub nut.
- Renew the hub nut.
  Renew Part: Hub nut(s) Quantity: 1 .
  
  Torque
  
  Stage 1: 300 Nm
  
  Stage 2 Loosen: 90°
  
  Stage 3: 80 Nm
  
  Stage 4: 60°
Install the wheel knuckle.
