Upper Control Arm (G2296781): Removal

CAUTION: The suspension arm nuts and bolts must be tightened with the suspension arms in the normal ride position. Failure to follow this instruction may result in premature failure of the bush.

Before replacing the upper control arm, make sure to have followed the diagnosis and testing procedure.
Refer to: SUSPENSION ARMS .
Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.
Refer to: JACKING AND LIFTING .
Remove the wheel and tire.
Refer to: WHEEL AND TIRE .

Using a suitable stand, support the lower control arm in the normal ride position.

- Remove and discard the upper control arm to wheel knuckle nut and bolt.
- Release the upper control arm from the wheel knuckle.

- Remove and discard the upper control arm to subframe nut and bolt.
- Remove the upper control arm.
