Rear Stabilizer Bar (G2296776): Removal
NOTE:
- This procedure contains some variation in the illustrations depending on the vehicle specification, but the essential information is always correct.
- This procedure contains illustrations showing certain components removed to provide extra clarity.
- The stabilizer bar bushes are bonded in place and do not separate from the bar.
- Steps 3 to 5 must be completed to the components on both sides of the vehicle.
- Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.

- Remove the rear silencer.
Refer to: REAR SILENCER .
- Remove the rear brake pads.
Refer to: BRAKE PADS .
- Remove and discard the nut.
- Reposition the stabilizer bar link.
- Remove and discard the nut and bolt.
- Reposition the upper control arm.
- Carry out steps 3 to 5 on the other side of the vehicle.
- Remove and discard the 4 bolts.
- Remove the stabilizer bar.
