Rear SUBFRAME - [+] PHEV (G2919873): Removal

WARNING: Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) Electric Vehicle Competent Person (EVCP) trained technicians only.
This procedure involves work on components associated with the High Voltage (HV) system. Only technicians qualified to Electric Vehicle Authorized Person (EVAP) level or higher are allowed to perform this procedure. It is mandated that all technicians involved with the steps in this procedure have read and understood the Electric Vehicle Safety Rules.

- Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.
Refer to: JACKING AND LIFTING .

Power Down the HV system. Only technicians qualified to EVAP level or higher are allowed to perform this procedure. It is mandated that all technicians involved with the steps in this procedure have read and understood the Electric Vehicle Safety Rules.

- Remove the Electric Rear Axle Drive (eRAD).
Refer to: ELECTRIC REAR AXLE DRIVE .
- Remove the 10 bolts.
- Remove the 9 fasteners.
- Remove the right side undershield.
- Remove the 2 bolts.
- Release the air deflector from the clip.
- Remove the air deflector.

NOTE: Repeat the step for the other side.
- Remove the nut.
- Release and position the brake pipes to one side.
- Disconnect the 3 electrical connectors from the body harness.
- Release the 2 wiring harness clips.
Release the subframe wiring harness from the 3 fasteners.
Remove the fuel filler pipe bracket bolt.

NOTE: Repeat the step for the other side.
- Remove the bolt.
- Remove the heatshield.
To aid installation, use a straight edge to mark the position of the subframe in relation to the body at the points shown.
Remove and discard the 4 subframe bracket nuts and bolts.

WARNING: This step requires the aid of another technician.
- Use a suitable transmission jack to support the rear subframe.
General Equipment: Transmission jack
- Remove and discard the 4 subframe to body bolts.
- Remove the rear subframe.
- Use a suitable transmission jack to support the rear subframe.

NOTE: Do not disassemble further if the component is removed for access only.
Remove the 2 rear springs.
- Disconnect the 4 electrical connector.
- Release the 17 wiring harness clips.
- Release the 8 wiring harness grommets.
- Remove the rear subframe wiring harness.
- Remove and discard the 4 bolts.
- Remove the rear stabilizer bar assembly.
- Remove the bolt.
- Release the wiring harness grommet.
- Remove the 2 bolts.
- Remove the rear height sensor.

NOTE: Repeat the step for the other side.
- Remove and discard the nut and bolt.
- Remove the rear upper control arm.

NOTE: Repeat the step for the other side.
- Remove and discard the 2 nuts and bolts.
- Remove the rear lower control arm.

NOTE: Repeat the step for the other side.
- Remove and discard the nut and bolt.
- Remove the rear tie-rod.
- Remove the nut.
- Remove the Noise, Vibration and Harshness (NVH) damper.
