Front Suspension (G2298387): Overview
The front suspension features McPherson struts to optimize on and off road performance.
The suspension components are mounted on the front subframe. The cast aluminum alloy front subframe is attached to the vehicle body with 4 bolts. This mounting arrangement provides a rigid platform for front suspension cornering loads.
The front suspension on each side comprises the following components:
- The control arm
- The wheel knuckle and wheel hub assembly
- The coil spring and shock absorber assembly
- The stabilizer bar link, which is connected to the stabilizer bar.
Depending on vehicle specification, there are 2 front suspension variants available for the vehicle:
- Standard suspension with coil springs and passive shock absorbers.
- Adaptive Damping (AD) system with coil springs and adaptive shock absorbers.
