Vehicles With Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV)
NOTE:
The Jaguar Land Rover approved showroom support unit is not required. The PHEV
battery maintains the 12 volt system.
Vehicles with PHEV are capable of movement without the engagement of a starter motor, and therefore require different procedures to make sure Drive 'D' cannot be engaged.
To prevent unwanted vehicle movement, it is recommended that:
- The ignition is switched OFF and the smart key is stored at least 5m away from the vehicle. For additional information, Refer to: ELECTRIC VEHICLE SAFETY RULES .
- The charging cable is plugged in to the vehicle at all times, even when a recharge is not required.
- If the charge cable is plugged into an electrical outlet, make sure that the circuit meets local legislation and recommended practices (consult a qualified electrician for further guidance).
Before the vehicle is displayed in a showroom, the following fuses must be removed to prevent accidental function.
