Rear Drive HALFSHAFTS - Vehicles With: MHEV/Non-Electric Vehicles (G2298403): Overview

The rear halfshafts transfer engine torque from the Rear Drive Unit (RDU) to the rear wheel hubs. The rear halfshafts consist of 2 Constant Velocity (CV) joints that are connected by a tubular shaft. The CV joints allow for angular deviations of the rear halfshafts due to suspension displacement. The CV joints also maintain a torque transfer path between the RDU and the rear wheel hub.
