Hydraulic Brake Actuation (G2298412): Overview
The hydraulic brake system is a diagonally split, dual circuit system and consists the following components:
- Brake pedal
- Brake master cylinder
- Brake fluid reservoir
- Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU)
- Brake pipes and hoses.
The preformed rigid brake pipes distribute pressure from the brake master cylinder to flexible hoses. These hoses connected to the front and rear brake calipers, via the integrated HCU and Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) control module.
