Park Assist
WARNING:
Park assist is a supplement to, and not a replacement for, good observation and a safe driving style. The driver must always exercise due care and attention whilst driving.
Park assist is an aid to maneuver the vehicle in and out of parking spaces and into parking bays.
The park assist system operates using the 4 side park assist sensors, 2 sensors mounted on each side of the front and rear bumpers, together with front and rear parking aid sensors.
The park assist system consists of 3 different options:
- Parallel Parking - Identifies a suitably sized parking space in a line of parked vehicles and then parallel parks the vehicle.
- Perpendicular Parking - Identifies a suitably sized parking bay in a row of parked vehicles and then reverse parks the vehicle. If the space is too small to allow the doors to open the system will not report it.
- Parking Exit - Aids maneuvering of the vehicle out of a parallel parking space where other vehicles are parked behind or in front of the vehicle, or both.
