Forward Vehicle Guidance
Forward vehicle guidance uses the front camera to display a view of the area in front of the vehicle not visible to the driver. The images are displayed on the Touchscreen (TS).
The forward vehicle guidance is turned ON or OFF using the camera settings soft key on the camera menu page.
The forward vehicle guidance displays an image from the front camera. The image may have overlays of the projected vehicle path based on the steering angle from the Steering Wheel Module (SWM). If the front parking aid sensors are active, object detection displays on the image.
Forward vehicle guidance activates when the plan view or forward camera is selected on the camera menu page on the TS.
Forward vehicle guidance will operate if:
- A forward gear or NEUTRAL (N) gear is selected.
- The vehicle speed is less than 16 km/h (10 mph).
