Front Row Seat Track And Motor Assembly (G2833346): Repair

WARNING: Edges of the seat frame are sharp and burry, make sure to wear cut proof gloves under the procedure. Failure to follow this instruction may result to personal injury.

NOTE:

This procedure contains illustrations showing certain components removed to provide extra clarity.
This procedure contains some variation in the illustrations depending on the vehicle specification, but the essential information is always correct.

Remove the front row seat cushion.
Refer to: FRONT ROW SEAT CUSHION .

- Disconnect the 8 electrical connectors.
- Release the 4 wiring harness clips.

Remove the front row seat suspension mat.

- Remove the 2 bolts.
- Release the front row seat module tray.
NOTE: The frame will self-lift to highest position.

Remove the bolt.

- Remove and discard the 4 bolts in the sequence shown.
- Remove the front row seat track and motor assembly.

Inspect the 4 bushings on the upper frame for damage. The internal face should be clean and smooth with no cracks, tears, or debris. If damaged replace the bushings.

- Install and align the front row seat track and motor assembly with the bolt holes 3-4.
- Install the 2 bolts and make sure that the 2 bolts are fully seated.
- Raise seat and observe motion of linkages. The linkage opposite the motor side has a hard stop. Make sure that the motion results in an abrupt stop as the seat pan is lowered and there is no sliding between the two parts.

- Align front linkages to the holes on front of the front row seat track and motor assembly.
- Make sure that the front linkage (opposing side to height adjustment motor) is seated on its hard stop.

- Install and tighten bolts 2-1.
  Torque : 40 Nm
- Install and tighten bolts 3-4.
  Torque : 40 Nm

- Position the height adjustment motor and install the bolt.
- Tighten the bolt.
  Torque : 28 Nm

- Install the front row seat module tray.
- Install and tighten the 2 bolts.
  Torque : 2 Nm
Install the front row seat suspension mat.

- Secure the 4 wiring harness clips.
- Connect the 8 electrical connectors.
Install the front row seat cushion.
