INCONTROL Touch Pro - Engineering Screen Diagnostic Log Collection (G3138348): Activation

CAUTION: Do not select any icons on the Engineering Screens or System Information Screens other than those required or instructed by this procedure.

Connect the Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) approved diagnostic equipment.
Begin a new diagnostic session.
NOTE:
- Infotainment must be running to complete this procedure.
- The Level 2 Engineering Screen application will only be active for 24hrs and will expire automatically after this time period.

Select the Infotainment Master Controller (IMC) and select Enable Level 2 Engineering Screen and follow the on-screen prompts.

To select the Engineering Screens press near left of the clock in the home screen as shown for 30 seconds.

Select Enable Logging.

Make sure Enable Logging text has changed to Disable Logging.
Lock the vehicle and make sure warning lamp illumination goes off. After powerlatch is complete, unlock the vehicle and turn ignition ON - engine not running.

- Check for Copy to USB on system as illustrated in image 1.
- If Copy to USB is present a High IMC system is installed. If it is not present as illustrated in image 2 then a Mid/Base IMC is installed.
- For High IMC Copy to USB follow steps 9-16
- For High IMC Log to USB follow step 17-25
- For Mid/Base IMC Log to USB follow step 26-30
NOTE: Steps for collecting logs by Copy to USB option in High IMC.

When the issue is reproduced, connect FAT 32 USB stick to the Infotainment System. Select Engineering Screens by long pressing near the clock (Refer to step 3) and Select System Information.

Select Copy to USB, a popup will be displayed to download logs.

Select Yes to Download logs into USB.

When the files are copied to FAT 32 USB stick a confirmation popup will show.

Go back to the Engineering Screens main page and select disable logging. The text will change to Enable Logging. Remove the FAT 32 USB stick when the text is updated.

If a FAT 32 USB stick is not connected, a banner popup will be shown to the user as Connect USB Storage Device

After connecting the FAT 32 USB stick to the infotainment system, a popup will be shown to the user to download logs or not.
- When the FAT 32 USB stick is removed, check the FAT 32 USB stick to make sure the logs have been collected properly in the gz Archive file format.
- Share the enc_key.txt and all the.dlt.tar files with the Engineer.

Select Log to USB, a popup will be displayed to download logs.

Select Yes to Download logs into USB.

After selecting Yes to Pop up, Log to USB icon will change to Stop Log. When the issue is reproduced, go to the System Information page. Select Stop Log to USB.

A popup will be shown to the user to confirm Stop sending events to USB, select Yes.

After selecting yes an information banner will be shown to the user that files has been saved successfully.

Go back to Engineering Screens main page and select disable logging.

The text will change to Enable Logging. Remove the FAT 32 USB stick when the text is updated.
- When the FAT 32 USB stick is removed, please check the USB stick to make sure the logs have been collected properly in the gz Archive file format.
- Share enc_key.txt and all the.dlt.tar files to the Engineer.

The icon text will change to Enable Logging. Wait for one minute to save the collected logs on to FAT 32 USB and then remove the FAT 32 USB stick.
- When the FAT 32 USB stick is removed, check the FAT 32 USB stick to make sure the logs have been collected properly in the gz Archive file format.
- Share enc_key.txt and all the.dlt.tar files to the Engineer.

Exit the session by selecting Return to InControl© Pro, selecting the back button or selecting the home button.
