Rear Stabilizer Bar - Vehicles Without: Dynamic Suspension (G2341174): Installation

The following step(s) applies to: 

All vehicles 

  1. CAUTION: Nuts and bolts must be tightened with vehicle at normal ride height.
    • Install the stabilizer bar.
    • Install and tighten the 2 new nuts and bolts.

      Renew Part: Rear stabilizer bar to subframe nuts Quantity: 2. 

      Renew Part: Rear stabilizer bar to subframe bolts Quantity: 2. 

      Torque 

      Stage 1: 30 Nm 

      Stage 2: 84 Nm 

      Stage 3: 120 Nm 

    • Install the 2 heatshields.
    • Install and tighten the 4 bolts.

      Torque  : 10 Nm 

  2. CAUTION:
    • Nuts must be tightened with vehicle at normal ride height.
    • Use a wrench on the hexagon provided to prevent the ball joint rotating.
    NOTE:
    • LH illustration shown, RH is similar.
    • The step must be carried out on both sides.
    • Install the stabilizer bar.
    • Install and tighten the nut.

      Torque  : 185 Nm 

    The following step(s) applies to: 

    Vehicles with petrol engine 

  3. NOTE: If equipped.
    • Install the bracket.
    • Install and tighten the 4 bolts.

      Torque  : 10 Nm 

  4. NOTE: If equipped.
    • Install the cover.
    • Install and tighten the 4 nuts.
    • With assistance, install the exhaust system.
    • Install the 2 exhaust hanger mounting rubbers.
  5. Connect the electrical connector.
  6. NOTE: The step must be carried out on both sides.

    Install the 2 exhaust hanger mounting rubbers.

  7. Install and tighten the 2 exhaust clamps.

    Torque  : 55 Nm 

    The following step(s) applies to: 

    Vehicles with diesel engine 

  8. Install the rear silencer.

    Refer to the appropriate service information

    The following step(s) applies to: 

    All vehicles 

  9. Install the rear air spring.

    Refer to: REAR AIR SPRING
