Electric Thermostat With Heater Element
The electric thermostat is closed at temperatures below approximately 101°C (213°F). When the engine coolant temperature reaches approximately 101°C (213°F), the electric thermostat starts to open and is fully open at approximately 111°C (234°F). In this condition, the full flow of engine coolant is directed through the radiator.
