MHEV Battery Cables

The 5 seat MHEV battery cables are shown, the 7 seat MHEV battery cables are similar.

The MHEV battery cables have a pale blue outer covering. The MHEV battery cables connect the following components:
- MHEV battery
- MHEV battery junction box
- Direct Current to Direct Current (DC/DC) converter
- Belt Integrated Starter Generator (BISG)
- Electric supercharger.
The MHEV battery cables distribute the MHEV battery voltage of approximately 48V to the MHEV battery components.

There are 4 sections of the MHEV battery cables that have Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) screening on them. These are the following:
- MHEV battery to the MHEV battery junction box.
- Rear section.
- Center section.
- MHEV battery junction box to the electric supercharger.
- MHEV battery junction box to the Belt Integrated Starter Generator (BISG).
Each section of EMC screening on the MHEV battery cables has an electric terminal for a vehicle body ground connection. The electrical ground connection is through a bolt installed to the vehicle body.
