ITEM DESCRIPTION
1 Brake fluid reservoir filler cap
2 Brake Booster Module (BBM)
3 Brake fluid level sensor electrical connector
4 Brake master cylinder
5 Brake fluid reservoir

The brake master cylinder and fluid reservoir are attached to the Brake Booster Module (BBM), on the driver's side of the engine compartment. The brake master cylinder is a tandem design that supplies pressure to 2 independent (primary and secondary) hydraulic circuits. Each circuit supplies 1 front and 1 rear brake respectively. If a failure occurs in 1 hydraulic circuit, the remaining circuit will still operate effectively. There will be an increase in brake pedal travel and vehicle braking distances.

The brake fluid reservoir is installed on top of the master cylinder and retains sufficient volume of hydraulic fluid to allow for normal system use. There is also sufficient fluid to compensate for the replenishment of the system as the brake pads wear.

A brake fluid level sensor is incorporated into the body of the brake fluid reservoir.
