Activity Key Logo Programming (G2804419): Programming

NOTE:

This procedure contains some variation in the illustrations depending on the vehicle specification, but the essential information is always correct.
This procedure does not affect the paired status of the Activity Key with a vehicle.
Steps 1 - 4 of this procedure contain instructions for setting the brand logo.

Connect the Activity Key to the charge cable supplied and to a suitable USB power outlet.
NOTE: The upper soft key returns the Activity Key to transit mode.

- Touch the screen on the Activity Key.
- Select the lower soft key.

- Use the up and down arrow soft keys to locate the desired brand logo.
- Select the desired brand logo.

Disconnect the charge cable and set the time.

NOTE:

The following steps contain instructions to reset the brand logo.
An Android or iOS mobile device with Bluetooth® enabled is required to complete this procedure.
The following steps contain illustrations for Android devices, iOS devices are similar.

Install "nRF Conenct for Mobile" by "Nordic Semiconductor ASA".
NOTE: Do not disconnect the charge cable before the procedure is complete.

- Connect the Activity Key to the charge cable supplied and to a suitable USB power outlet to enable Bluetooth®.
NOTE: To identify the correct device, it is advised that only 1 Activity Key is powered at a time.

- Open the "nRF Connect" application.
- Select "JLR_WK" and touch CONNECT .

Touch the 3 dots to expand the menu.
NOTE: This setting may already be deselected depending on the application version.

Deselect "Parse known characteristics".

Select "Nordic UART Service".

Touch the UP Arrow to the right of "RX Characteristic".
NOTE: The advanced settings may need to be expanded if "Byte Array" is not the default value.
