Activity Key

The activity key transceiver module is located under the tailgate window to the inner side of the tailgate and secured with a screw. The exact location is to place the activity key over the 'R' in the Rover badge on the tailgate. This is when looking from the rear of the vehicle. When placed in the correct location, the transponder within the activity key is detected by the activity key transceiver module.

The activity key transceiver module communicates with the Body Control Module/Gateway Module (BCM/GWM) assembly through a Local Interconnect Network (LIN). If the communication is correct and is authorized, the activity key can lock and unlock the vehicle.
