Wheel Bearing - Front Wheel Drive (G2296783): Removal

- Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.

- Remove the wheel knuckle.

Use 2 of the nuts from special tool 205-857 and a suitable tool. Hold the wheel hub still and remove the hub nut. Keep the hub nut for use during the installation procedure.

General Equipment: Tire lever
Use the special tool to remove the stub axle.

Install the special tools to the wheel knuckle.

Use the special tools to remove the wheel hub.
Special Tool(s): 204-726
General Equipment: Hydraulic press
Use a suitable tool to reposition the inner race of the wheel bearing to allow the special tool to be installed.

Use the special tool to remove the inner race of the wheel bearing.

Clean and inspect the components.
Remove the circlip.
Use the special tool to remove the wheel bearing.
