Spring (G2296779): Installation

Make sure the spring isolators are correctly installed.
Using the special tools, compress the spring to aid the installation.
Special Tool(s): 204-179

- Install the rear spring.
- Remove the special tools.
- Make sure the spring is correctly located on the lower control arm and in the body.
Using a suitable stand, support the lower control arm in the normal ride position.
- Secure the lower control arm to the wheel knuckle.
- Renew the nut and bolt.
  Renew Part: Lower control arm nut and bolt Quantity: 1 .
  
  Torque
  
  Stage 1: 70 Nm
  
  Stage 2: 240°
- Install the integral link.
- Renew the 2 nuts and bolts.
  Renew Part: Integral link nuts and bolts Quantity: 2 .
  
  Torque
  
  Stage 1: 48 Nm
  
  Stage 2: 60°
CAUTION: Torque must be applied to the bolt.
- Reposition the tie-rod.
- Renew the nut and bolt.
  Renew Part: Tie-rod nut and bolt Quantity: 1 .
  
  Torque
  
  Stage 1: 60 Nm
  
  Stage 2: 180°
- Reposition the stabilizer bar link.
- Renew the nut.
  Renew Part: Stabilizer bar link upper nut Quantity: 1 .
  
  Torque : 70 Nm
Connect the suspension height sensor link.
Install the rear shock absorber.
Refer to: SHOCK ABSORBER .
Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, calibrate the suspension ride height.
