The hardened steel stabilizer bar is designed to control the amount of vehicle roll during wheel articulation. The stabilizer bar operates via a pair of stabilizer bar links, from their attachment to the wheel knuckles.
The stabilizer bar bushes are bonded to the stabilizer bar to prevent relative motion between the 2 components.
The stabilizer bar links have a ball joint at each end. The bottom ball joint is attached to the link at 90° to the link axis. The ball joint is located in a hole in the wheel knuckle and secured with a locknut. The upper ball joint is located in a hole in the end of the stabilizer bar and secured with a locknut.
