Lower Control Arm (G2297553): Removal
CAUTION:
The suspension arm nuts and bolts must be tightened with the suspension arms in the normal ride position. Failure to follow this instruction may result in premature failure of the bush.
NOTE:
- This procedure contains some variation in the illustration depending on the vehicle specification, but essential information is always correct.
- This procedure contains illustrations showing certain components removed to provide extra clarity.
- Before replacing the lower control arm, make sure to have followed the diagnosis and testing procedure.

- Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.
Refer to: JACKING AND LIFTING .
- Remove the front subframe.
Refer to: FRONT SUBFRAME .
Remove the M10 bolt from the lower control arm rear mount.
Remove and discard the M14 bolt from the lower control arm front mount.
Remove and discard the 2 M14 nuts and bolts from the lower control arm rear mount.
Remove the lower control arm.

NOTE: Do not disassemble further if the component is removed for access only.
Remove the brake cooling air duct.
Remove the suspension height sensor link mounting.
