Occupant Classification Sensor - Vehicles With: NAS Specification (G2312034): Installation

CAUTION: The occupant classification sensor service kit must not be separated and it must be installed as provided.
Install the Occupant Classification Sensor (OCS) kit and secure it wit the 2 clips.
- Reposition the hose as shown.
- Reposition the Occupant Classification Sensor (OCS).
- Install and tighten the bolt.
Torque : 2 Nm
- Connect the electrical connector.

NOTE:
- Use hog ring pliers to close the hog rings. Do not use any other tool. The hog rings must be closed to overlap as illustrated.
- Make sure that new hog rings are installed.
- Install the front row seat cushion cover.
- Install the 20 new hog rings in the sequence shown.
General Equipment: hog ring plier
Renew Part: Hog rings Quantity: 20 .
- Secure the velcro strap.
- Install the front row seat cushion assembly.
- Secure the 3 retainers at the front of the cushion.
- Secure the 3 retainers at the back of the cushion.
- Connect the front row seat heater element electrical connector.
- Secure the 2 front row seat backrest cover retainers.

NOTE: If equipped.
Install the front row seat backrest trim panel.

- Connect the front row seat switchpack electrical connector.
- Install the front row seat outer valance.
- Install the front row seat.
Refer to: FRONT ROW SEAT .
- Connect the startup battery ground cable.
Refer to: 12V SYSTEM DISCONNECT .

CAUTION: The following pre-cautions are required to run the routine correctly.: Seat is empty, ignition is switched on, the occupancy seat module has gone through the seat assembly plant calibration, no collision event received from the Restraints Control Module (RCM) during the current ignition cycle, no faults present in the current ignition cycle, occupancy seat module has settled for 10 seconds, temperature is between 6°C (42°F) and 36°C (97°F), seat is bolted in original installation position.
Using the Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) approved diagnostic equipment, perform routine - Learn Seat Occupant Classification Zero Position (5007).
