Brake Master Cylinder - Left Hand Drive (G2309371): Removal
CAUTION:
- Before disconnecting any components, make sure the area is clean and free from foreign material. When disconnected all openings must be sealed.
- If brake fluid is spilt on the paintwork, the affected area must be immediately washed down with cold water.

- This procedure contains illustrations showing certain components removed to provide extra clarity.
The following step(s) applies to:
All vehicles
- Remove the startup battery tray.
Refer to: STARTUP BATTERY TRAY .
- Remove the brake fluid reservoir cap.
- Use a suitable syringe to remove the brake fluid from the brake fluid reservoir.
General Equipment: Oil syringe
- Remove the 5 bolts.
- Reposition the secondary bulkhead panel assembly to get access to the brake master cylinder.
- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Release the clip.
- Remove the screw.

Vehicles with manual transmission
- Carefully release the clip.
- Disconnect the clutch master cylinder supply line.

Vehicles with automatic transmission
Carefully release the clip.

WARNING: Fluid loss is unavoidable, use absorbent cloth or a container to collect the fluid.CAUTION: Brake fluid will damage paint finished surfaces. If spilled, immediately remove the fluid and clean the area with water.
Remove the brake fluid reservoir.
- Disconnect the 2 brake pipe unions.
- Remove and discard the 2 nuts.
- Remove the brake master cylinder.
- Remove and discard the seals.
