Squeak/Rattle Noise From The Instrument Cluster
NOTE:
The images are of a LHD vehicle, please use a mirror image for RHD vehicles, for example the foam blocks are always added to the inboard leg of the instrument cluster lower trim panel
Customer may complain of a squeak/rattle noise from the instrument cluster while driving.
This noise may be caused by the instrument cluster lens and the instrument cluster lower trim panel making contact, a gap of 0.6 mm is required.

- Confirm the customers concern by pressing the areas shown in the image and video
- Remove the instrument cluster lower trim panel, follow the steps to remove the instrument cluster, it is only necessary to follow the removal up to step 9 to remove the instrument cluster lower trim panel Refer to: INSTRUMENT CLUSTER

- Stick the foam blocks to the instrument cluster lower trim panel as shown in the image, one on top of the other (to make 6 mm thick)
- Cut two pieces from the 3 mm thick PVC foam, 10 mm wide x 30 mm long
- Apply one on top of each other to make a single foam block, 10 mm wide x 300 mm long x 6 mm thick
- Stick the foam block to the inboard leg of the instrument cluster lower trim panel
- Follow the instrument cluster installation from step 3 and install the instrument cluster lower trim panel and make sure there is a gap of 0.6 mm between the instrument cluster lower trim panel and the instrument cluster lens. Refer to: INSTRUMENT CLUSTER

- Complete the installation, follow the instrument cluster installation from step 4. Refer to: INSTRUMENT CLUSTER .
