Rear View Camera Water Ingress Sealing (G2857146): Repair

Install the butyl tape on to the camera holder making sure that the illustrated area is fully covered.

Renew Part: Sealing Kit - Rear View Camera Quantity: 1 .
NOTE: The butyl tape must overlap itself.

- Cut a strip of butyl tape with the dimensions 70 mm x 8 mm x 1 mm from the tape supplied in the sealing kit.
- Install the butyl tape on to the new rear view camera as shown in the illustration.

Install the camera into the holder.

Install the butyl tape on to the housing making sure that sure that the illustrated area is fully covered.

Install the holder into the housing.

Connect the Rear View Camera (RVC) electrical connector.
CAUTION: Make sure the area indicated is sealed.

NOTE: Make sure that the rear view camera assembly is completely sealed.

- Cut a 50 mm x 40 mm section of the 3M™ FAST tape from the tape supplied in the sealing kit.
- Install the 3M™ FAST tape on to the camera making sure that the illustrated area is fully covered.
CAUTION: Make sure the area indicated is sealed.

NOTE: Make sure that the rear view camera assembly is completely sealed.
