Camera Systems

WARNING: It remains the driver's responsibility to detect obstacles and estimate the vehicle's distance from them when reversing.

Rear View Camera

The Rear View Camera (RVC) provides additional information to the driver when reversing the vehicle. When REVERSE (R) gear is selected, the RVC automatically displays a wide-angle color image of the view from the rear of the vehicle onto the Interactive Display Module 'A' (IDMA). The RVC system is supported by various driving aid features where graphical information and warnings are superimposed onto the images displayed on the IDMA.

Proximity Camera

The proximity camera system provides the driver with a visual aid when maneuvering the vehicle at low speeds. The proximity camera system uses the Image Processing Module 'B' (IPMB) to capture the camera data and display the resulting images on the Interactive Display Module 'A' (IDMA). This provides the driver with a 360° view around the vehicle. The proximity camera system is also supported by various driving aid features where graphical information and warnings are superimposed onto the images displayed on the IDMA.
