Parking Assist Control Module
The Parking Assist Control Module (PAM) is located in the loadspace, behind the right quarter trim panel.
The PAM has 1 connector. The connector provides power, ground, High Speed (HS) Controller Area Network (CAN) chassis systems bus connections, front and rear parking aid sensors and wade sensors.
The HS CAN chassis systems bus connections provide for the receipt of the following information from other systems:
- Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) control module - Vehicle speed signal
- Transmission Control Module (TCM) - REVERSE (R) gear engaged signal
The PAM also outputs messages on the HS CAN chassis systems bus. The Body Control Module/Gateway Module (BCM/GWM) processes these messages and converts them into HS CAN comfort messages, which are sent to the Interactive Display Module 'A' (IDMA).
