Proximity Camera System
The proximity camera system provides the driver with a visual aid when maneuvering the vehicle at low speeds. The proximity camera system uses the Image Processing Module 'B' (IPMB) to capture the camera data. The images are displayed on the Touchscreen (TS), providing the driver with a 360° view around the vehicle. The proximity camera system is also supported by various driving aid features where graphical information and warnings are superimposed onto the images displayed on the TS.

Automatic operation
Once the vehicle speed is greater than 18 km/h (11 mph) the images automatically switch OFF. Once automatically switched OFF, the camera view is disabled until 1 of the following occurs:
- Another ignition cycle occurs and the camera system is automatically functioned.
- The camera system is manually selected on the Touchscreen (TS).
- The vehicle speed reduces to less than 18 km/h (11 mph).
- In Power Mode 6 or 7 and REVERSE (R) selected, the camera system displays the view from the rear of the vehicle.
Selecting Views
- The Touchscreen (TS) displays real time images transmitted from each of the 4 cameras.
- An image can be zoomed and panned around with the magnifier and arrow icons.
Proximity Camera System
The proximity camera view images are overlaid with:
- Dashed lines representing the perimeter of the vehicle.
- Solid lines representing the predicted trajectory of the vehicle, calculated from the steering wheel angle sensor.
- Colored bars represent the amount of distance between the vehicle and the object being approached. Working in conjunction with the standard rear parking aid, this adds a visual representation to the existing audible warning.
The reversing aid graphics can be disabled in the settings menu or by touching the Touchscreen (TS) whilst REVERSE (R) gear is selected and the camera view is displayed.
