Image Processing Module 'B'
The Image Processing Module 'B' (IPMB) has the following connections:
- High Speed (HS) Controller Area Network (CAN) comfort systems bus
- Camera inputs (quantity 4)
- Video signal output to the Infotainment Master Controller (IMC)
- Power supply and ground.
The IPMB gathers the proximity camera images and analyses and alters them. It can adjust perspectives and apply corrections. The processed images are sent to the Touchscreen (TS) by a Low-Voltage Differential Signal (LVDS).
The IPMB adds guidance and warning overlays to the camera images to create the various driving aid features supported by the proximity camera system. For example, visual direction is available when REVERSE (R) gear is selected.
In addition to the data lines, the camera receives a power supply and a ground wire from the IPMB.
Use caution when you remove, install, disconnect and reconnect the camera harnesses.
