Front Row Seat Backrest Cover (G2299214): Installation

  1. NOTE:
    • Use hog ring pliers to close the hog rings. Do not use any other tool. The hog rings must be closed to overlap as illustrated.
    • Make sure that new hog rings are installed.

    • Install the front row seat backrest cover.
    • Install the 9 hog rings in the sequence shown.

      General Equipment: hog ring plier 

      Renew Part: Hog rings Quantity: 9 . 

  3. Install the 2 front row seat backrest cover clips.
  4. Install and tighten the 2 nuts.

    Torque  : 8.5 Nm 

  5. Connect the side airbag electrical connector.
  6. Secure the 4 clips.
  7. Install the front head restraint.
    • Visually inspect the front row seat backrest cover is correctly installed.
    • If the front row seat backrest cover is not visually correct, reposition the front row seat backrest cover as required.
  9. Connect the startup battery ground cable.
