The vehicle seats are each based around a number of fabricated steel pressing. The components are welded, riveted and bolted together to form the seat frame structure. The front row seats are each mounted on rails which allow the seat position to be adjusted forward or backward. The rails are secured to the floor pan with brackets and screws.
The seat frame is equipped with a fabricated sprung framework in the seat base and backrest. The sprung framework supports the seat foam and increases occupant comfort. The seat frame provides location for the seat foam for the cushion and backrest. The seat foam is covered with a tailored seat cover.
There are 3 adjustments available on the manual front row seats. A lever at the front of the seat allows the seat position to be adjusted in a forward or backward direction. A lever on the side of seat allows the seat height to be adjusted. The lever releases a latch and the seat height is spring assisted in the raised position. The occupant's weight against the spring provides controlled lowering of the seat to the required position. A rotary knob on the side of the seat provides for adjustment of the seat backrest position.
