Pressure Operated 1-Way Valve
The pressure operated 1-way valve stops engine coolant to flow backward through the radiator when the auxiliary coolant pump is running. The pressure operated 1-way valve allows the engine coolant to flow to the radiator upper hose and down to the radiator, when the electric thermostat is closed. Otherwise the engine coolant flows in the usual direction to the variable coolant pump.
