Right Engine Mount (G2344510): Installation

The following step(s) applies to: 

All vehicles 

1. • Connect the vacuum hose.
   • Install the engine mount.
   • Install and tighten 4 new engine mounting to subframe bolts.

     Renew Part: Engine mounting bracket to subframe bolts Quantity: 4  .

     Torque  : 32 Nm 

2. CAUTION: Make sure the engine mount guide pin in the correct position on both side.

   Use the special tool JLR-303-1692 to lower the engine until the engine brackets rests on the engine mounts.

3. Install and tighten a new engine mount bracket to engine mount nut.

   Renew Part: Engine mount to engine mount bracket nut Quantity: 1  .

   Torque  : 124 Nm 

4. • Install the engine mount heatshield.
   • Install and tighten the 2 bolts.

     Torque  : 9 Nm 

   The following step(s) applies to: 

   Right-hand drive vehicles 

5. • Reposition the steering column shaft.
   • Install and tighten a new steering column lower shaft lower bolt.

     Renew Part: Steering column lower shaft lower bolt Quantity: 1  .

     Torque  : 30 Nm 

   The following step(s) applies to: 

   All vehicles

   Remove the engine support beam and the engine support adapter.

   Remove the Special Tool(s): JLR-303-1692  , JLR-303-1692-04

   • Remove the 2 bolts.
   • Remove the 2 engine compartment braces.

   • Remove the 4 bolts.
   • Remove the special tools.

     Remove the Special Tool(s): JLR-303-1713

   • Remove the 4 bolts.
   • Remove the special tool.

     Remove the Special Tool(s): JLR-303-1676

    Connect the breather pipes.

    • Install the heatshield.
    • Install the 2 clips.
12. Install the secondary bulkhead center panel.

    Refer to: SECONDARY BULKHEAD CENTER PANEL - INGENIUM I4 2.0L PETROL/INGENIUM I4 2.0L PETROL - PHEV/INGENIUM I6 3.0L DIESEL/INGENIUM I6 3.0L PETROL

13. Install the hood.

    Refer to: HOOD

14. Install the front right wheel arch liner.

    Refer to: FRONT WHEEL ARCH LINER

15. Install the engine undershield.

    Refer to: ENGINE UNDERSHIELD
