DTC P0457-76: Evaporative Emission System Leak Detected (fuel cap loose/off) - Wrong mounting position: Action

- Vehicle Conditions to enable DTC
Logging Strategy
- Make sure that the vehicle has a fuel level between 15 and 85%
- Ambient temperature is between 32°F and 95°F
- Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment complete "small leak test"
- Refer to the relevant service information and check the evaporative emissions system for leaks
- Check all purge pipe connections are secure. Visually inspect evaporative emission, purge pipes, fuel tank and filler neck for any obvious damage
- Inspect connectors for signs of water ingress, and pins for damage and/or corrosion
- Check fuel cap installation
- Check fuel cap for correct sealing
- Check diagnostic module tank leakage air filter
