Powertrain Control Module (G2394587): Removal

CAUTION:
Before disconnecting any components, make sure the area is clean and free from foreign material. When disconnected all openings must be sealed.
NOTE:
- This procedure contains some variation in the illustrations depending on the vehicle specification, but the essential information is always correct.
- This procedure contains illustrations showing certain components removed to provide extra clarity.
- This procedure contains illustrations for left hand drive vehicles, right hand drive vehicles are similar.
- Disconnect the 12 V system.
Refer to: 12V SYSTEM DISCONNECT AND CONNECT
- Remove the 5 clips.
- Remove the access cover.
- Release the wiring harness clip.
- Remove the 3 bolts.
- Remove the bulkhead left upper panel.
- Release the 2 wiring harness clips.
- Disconnect the 6 electrical connectors.
- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Release the grommet.
- Reposition the wiring harness away from the Powertrain Control Module (PCM).
Remove the 2 nuts.
- Remove the bolt.
- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Release the 2 fuel lines from the 2 clips.

NOTE: If equipped
- Disconnect the 2 coolant pipes.
- Release the grommet.

NOTE: If equipped
Reposition the 2 coolant pipes away from the fuel lines.
- Remove the 2 bolts.
- Remove the bulkhead left lower panel.
Remove the PCM assembly.

NOTE:
- Do not disassemble further if the component is removed for access only.
- If equipped
- Release the 3 clips.
- Release the 2 hoses.
- Remove the coolant pipe assembly.
- Remove the 4 nuts.
- Remove the bracket.
