Piston Cooling Oil Jet Solenoid (G2300681): Removal

Be prepared to collect escaping coolant.
NOTE:

- Disconnect the 12 V system.
Refer to: 12V SYSTEM DISCONNECT AND CONNECT
- Remove the engine cover.

- Position the charge air cooler in the service position.
Refer to: CHARGE AIR COOLER SERVICE POSITION
- Partially drain the cooling system.
Refer to: COOLING SYSTEM PARTIAL DRAINING AND VACUUM FILLING
- Remove the Belt Integrated Starter Generator (BISG).
Refer to: BELT INTEGRATED STARTER GENERATOR
Disconnect the 2 electrical connectors.
- Disconnect the 2 coolant hoses.
- Remove the bolt.
- Remove the engine coolant bypass hose.
- Remove and discard the O-ring seal.
- Remove the bolt.
- Remove the piston cooling oil jet solenoid.
- Remove and discard the O-ring seal.
